About this deal

Worth for a quick stop of 10mins perhaps for travellers and can walk around in the main park but not huge amount to see. Activities for children and lots of things for adults to look at too - Outfits to try on, shields and swords to brandish. There are plenty of places to pause with a coffee to people-watch, and be sure to make a beeline for the striking The Beaney House of Art and Knowledge, the city’s tourist information point, museum, library and art gallery - and one of the best looking buildings in the city. Eastbridge Hospital of St Thomas the Martyr is a glimpse into the rich history of Canterbury in England. We had a fabulous lunch in the restaurant (perfectly cooked, good size portions, well presented and knowledgeable and attentive service) and then browsed the fresh food stalls on the way out (excellent fishmonger amongst others).The only downside is that staff need to know that when the breakfast restaurant isn’t very busy, their voices carry. Our journey led us up an alleyway where we crossed a bridge next to a cafe - that also offered a type of boat tour - from here we entered the gardens. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. My wife and i went to Cathedral Gate Hotel for my birthday and the service was absolutely amazing,we would like to thank Monica for looking after us and telling us all about the hotel and the places we can visit in Canterbury . Fantastic location right next to the cathedral, clean comfortable room, delicious breakfast and friendly, helpful staff.
